As per the GST laws, GST registration is necessary for every taxpayer who falls under GST criteria. There is a 15 digit GSTIN provided to the taxpayer after GST registration.
It can be completed with the simple and easy online process.
As soon as you visit the GST registration portal you need to fill the required details accordingly.
Completion of this process will help you to get the tracking details on your registered mail Id and contact number.
The tracking details which you will receive on your registered mail id and contact number is known as the ARN (Application Reference Number), with this number you will be able to track your GST registration status.
Following mentioned is the detailed procedure to know the GST registration status.
- Visit the GST registration portal.
- In Services Section – Click on Registration – and later click on Track application status.
- A window will be displayed where you have to mention the ARN which you received on your registered mail Id and contact number.
- Complete the CAPTCHA procedure and click on“Search”.
- After clicking on serach one of the following options will be displayed.
- Provisional pending signature
While GST registration procedure, when the application is submitted without the signature, the GST registration status will be shown as “Provisional pending signature”.
- Migrated
This status means that the application is migrated to GST and it is successful. After the submission of the application, the GST registration status will be shown as “Migrated”.
- Active
The application status which is “Migrated” will be shown as “Active” on the appointment date.
- Pending for verification
At this stage the GST application is submitted successfully, “Pending for verification/validation” status is shown in between the period of submission, until the ARN is generated.
- Canceled/Suspended
If GST registration is not approved and it is canceled, then the application status will be shown as Canceled. As soon as the application is submitted but not signed, will be suspended after 6 months.
- Validation against error
If the PAN details would not match with the details provided by IT the GST registration status will change in “Validation against error”. Here you have to submit the details once again.
